I'm Witt, and the contents of my images mean the world to me.
I’m a native Texan with an inquisitive nature that has led me all over our planet.
The time I’ve spent roughing it in the backcountry, on safari in the bush of East Africa, and exploring countless other nooks and crannies of this planet have instilled in me a deep appreciation for the natural world, the animals that inhabit it, and cultures who live more closely to the land than we tend to in the USA.
The implications of man's increasing population and consumption patterns are clearly encroaching on delicate ecosystems and traditions that define our unique, blue planet. Recognition of this truth has heightened my value for untarnished landscapes and traditional cultures, which are becoming increasingly scarce, and makes photographs that convey the essence of these lands and those who inhabit them most poignant to me.
I share my images to inspire in others an appreciation for these wilder, simpler slices of our earth in hopes that our grandchildren will one day have the chance to see the same sights.
