SAFARI LEADERS
Rob is a Tanzania native and trained naturalist guide
with a diploma in conservation and natural history. He
has acquired a vast knowledge of the land and
animals of his native land throughout over 10 years of
guiding safaris and leading climbs up Mount
Kilimanjaro.
Witt seeks thrills in experiencing and pointing his lens
toward the simpler sides of life. Time spent in the
backcountry and on safari in Africa has instilled in
him a deep appreciation for the natural world, the
animals that inhabit it, and cultures who live closer
to the land than we do in the USA.

Itinerary has been designed by seasoned guides with comfort, experience, and value in mind
Logistics are seamlessly coordinated to keep you worry-free and to maximize your time in the bush
Exclusivity takes our guests off the beaten path for a private and unique wilderness experience
Safety is the bottom line - for both our guests and the unique ecosystems through which we travel
FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHY
Our safari experience will be geared toward photographic and wildlife education, and Witt Duncan, your dedicated photo guide, will act as a photographic mentor before, during, and after the trip. Before departure he will conduct a series of web-based tutorials to teach the group subtle nuances that can make or break images and to ensure that everyone is confident in their skills and equipment. On safari, he’ll work hand-in-hand with each of the group members to assist them in honing and executing their photographic vision. One last webinar will follow our trip, as Witt offers advice on uploading and post-processing the masses of photos you’ll capture on safari.
You can find more information about Witt and examples of his work right here on this website.
WHY GO ON SAFARI DURING THE GREEN SEASON?
Tanzania’s green season, which stretches from January to April, is an often-overlooked but spectacular time to safari.
Because most tourists travel through the Serengeti during the peak season of July – September, the area is much less crowded during the time of our safari. Fewer crowds translate to more intimate experiences with the animals you came to see. This makes not only for a better experience but better photos as well - and that’s the chief purpose of our expedition.
If you’re a fan of baby animals, then you’re in luck; we’ll be visiting on the tail end of calving season, the ideal time of year to observe and photograph the cubs and calves of the Serengeti.
The frequent cloud cover that comes along with the green season offers itself to our photographic success by creating more than just dramatic vistas; softer light makes for flattering images throughout all hours of the day, and occasional rains keep the grass lush and photogenic.
